Position Overview:
The Western Inside Sales & Customer Support Professional position is responsible for supporting the Directors of Sales and delivering exceptional customer experience by providing timely, accurate, and empathetic support. Our goal is to ensure every customer interaction is handled with professionalism and care, fostering trust and long-term relationships. This position is expected to work Mountain Time Zone.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):
- Works closely with Directors of Sales and Manufacturer Sales Reps
- Collaborate with Directors on pricing and prepares and sends out estimates
- Provide pricing when needed to be competitive in the market within company policy, along with interpreting internal and external reports to help make these decisions.
- Process orders and resolve customer issues (returns, damage claims, etc.)
- Technically and logistically competent and capable of proposing products or solutions to help solve customer problems
- Follow-up on estimates generated in region
- Drive the opportunity—Calling the customer, following up on the opportunity
- Monitors competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products and sale to market and sharing intel with Directors.
- Participates in product training to continue the enhancement of product knowledge
- Proactively engage with customers and develop key contacts
- Attend occasional industry meetings/shows and be able to represent the company in a professional manner
- Work with sales, marketing, product engineer’s and plant personnel
- Elevate key issues to plant managers, schedulers and shippers when necessary
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years professional experience in sales
- Preferred experience with infrastructure products
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Strong functional usage of NetSuite and other internal applications
- Understanding of Outside Plant basic product applications
- Strong verbal, written presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, problem solver, highly motivated and work well without constant supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
- Multi-tasking and analytical abilities to provide decisive solutions to customers
- Prospecting skills, closing skills, inside sales management skills, client relationship skill
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of an inside and outside sales team, with minimal supervision displaying flexibility
